Membership Services
The CEAA member is entitled to the following benefits:

Newsletter The CEAA newsletter, "The Auditorial" is published quarterly. This periodical contains up-to-date information regarding the work of the Association as well as the development of the profession.

Conference The CEAA member will have access at reduced rates to the annual meeting and technical conference. This is a two-day event held in a major Canadian city each Fall. The conference features presentations of leading edge technologies by presenters who are senior in their fields of endeavour.

Directory Each year the CEAA publishes a Membership Directory containing the name, address, and communication co-ordinates of each CEAA member as well as their designation status.

Participation Each CEAA member will have the ability to participate as a volunteer on a Standing Committee or, through an election process, as a Director of the Association. Tenure as a Director often leads to a position of Senior Officer. The volunteers find satisfaction in contributing to the day to day operation of the Association and developing a cross-Canada network of professional acquaintances.

Liability Insurance Members of the CEAA have access to liability insurance at group rates through a carrier approved by the Association.
There are three levels of CEAA membership available:
- General
- Provisional Auditor
- Certified Auditor
General Membership would be applicable to persons who are involved in the environmental auditing industry in some way but who are not involved directly in the business of conducting audits in the field. General members include senior managers, lawyers, insurance specialists, accountants and scientists in various fields of endeavour.

Provisional Auditor Membership Provisional Auditor Membership is available for those persons who have been trained in EMS and/or environmental auditing and who are accumulating the requisite field experience necessary for certification in one of the CEAA programs. CEAA is currently developing the Provisional Auditor program to offer networking and mentoring opportunities in order to facilitate their professional development and the accumulation of audit time. Certified Environmental Auditors
Certified Auditor Membership consists of individuals who have successfully met the CEAA qualification criteria for one or more of the following designations:
- CEA Certified Environmental Auditor
- CEA(SFM) Certified Environmental Sustainable Forest Management Auditor
- EMS(A) Environmental Management System Auditor
- EMS(LA) Environmental Management System Lead Auditor
