The Business Unit Managers role is an important and integral part of the companys organization structure. Successful candidates will have the challenge and responsibility to: grow and sustain business and marketing goals; to oversee consistent delivery of superior client services; to provide leadership and project management direction to staff, to build, maintain and lead staff to a high level of team performance and to personally perform professional services in their fields of expertise.
Fort St. John: In this thriving 19,000 person town, the professional services focus in the areas of: geotechnical explorations including sampling and logging; geotechnical analyses for slope stability; settlement and foundation design projects; site assessments and containment remediation projects; proposals and reports. Market sectors include commercial, industrial and residential developments, transportation, resource industry and utilities.
Lloydminster: The area was settled in 1903. Lloydminster, located on the border of Alberta and Saskatchewan and strategically between two major centres, Edmonton (251 km) and Saskatoon (275 km), has become a regional base. It is a thriving, young, energetic, well educated and trained community of 22,000. Lloydminsters success lies in farming, on which the city was founded, in the oil industry and in technology and service fields. This position has overall supervision and coordination of the office, including financial management, business development, client liaison, and proposal preparation, staff supervision, including assisting the regional manager with employee hiring, training, performance planning, appraisal and development.
Professional services focus on: project management/engineering on a wide variety of geotechnical, geological, materials engineering, geo-environmental and/or groundwater hydrology assignments throughout south-central BC, as well as, preparation of technical reports.
