Title EHS Management Systems Specialist
Job Description Our growing team requires an Environmental Health and Safety Management Systems Specialist. We are looking for an ambitious, client-oriented professional who will be at the forefront of their day to day activities. This candidate will be hands-on, helping to develop and implement EH&S systems and conduct EH&S compliance audits. 

The successful incumbent will possess the following:

-Ability to work with Industrial and Technical personnel in order to integrate EHS procedures into operations
-Assess and audit EHS compliance and management systems
-Implement Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) management systems
-Develop policies and procedures to support EHS management
-Ability to write reports and present them with the necessary information when conducting meetings
-Ability to perform others duties within scope of job description as detailed by Manager.

Preferred Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience working as an Industrial Consultant within a plant or related environment. This incumbent must also have experience working with a Union Steward and have good analytical problem solving skills, have strong writing and communications skills and be able to manage projects in a timely manner. There may be opportunity for this incumbent to work within the Business Development Sector.

-A University degree in Science or Engineering. 
-Strong written and oral skills. 
-Strong attention to detail and client oriented.
- Proven project management skills. - Minimum 5 years experience in developing and implementing (EHS) management systems and conducting EHS management systems and compliance audits. 
- Experienced working with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards and experience with Quality Management Systems and or regulatory compliance auditing are additional assets.
-Certified Environmental Auditor (CEA) designation through the Canadian Environmental Auditing Association or working towards.
- EMS certification required.
